Existing regional assets
Regional hubs will support country-level evidence intermediaries working directly with government policymakers and other decision-makers, as well as those working with (or as part of) UN Country Teams and their regional collaborative platforms, economic (and social) commissions, and issue-based coalitions. We provide below a listing of these important regional assets:
- Africa: regional collaborative platform and economic commission
- Asia Pacific: regional collaborative platform and economic and social commission
- Europe and Central Asia: regional collaborative platform, economic commission, and issue-based coalitions
- Latin America and the Caribbean: regional collaborative platform and economic commission
- Middle East: regional collaborative platform (Arab States) and economic and social commission (Western Asia)
We will continue to follow closely how these regional assets evolve according to the UN80 Initiative Action Plan.
Regional hubs will also explore synergies with the regional multilateral development banks and others providing evidence support at the country (or local) level.
